As of 10:30 a.m. March 13, 2020, the Boil Water Advisory for those affected Union County Public Works customers has been lifted. Customers are advised to run their tap water for 3 minutes, flush the refrigerator water line, and discard any ice accumulated in the ice makers. 

Most of Union County Public Works customers remain under a boil water advisory. Customers will be directly notified of updates via the email address and/or phone number associated with their account. Bottled water distribution sites reopened at 8:00 a.m. and will be available until supplies last. All of Union County is under a Boil Water Advisory  effective immediately.  Union County Public Works is working with the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality on quality control measures. Information will be updated as it becomes available.
