Union County has established a hotline to address NON-EMERGENCY calls related to
Hurricane Florence. The hotline will open at 10:00 AM on Thursday the 13th of
September and remain open 24 hours per day until the immediate threat subsides.
Please use this hotline for questions about shelters, government office hours, flooding
concerns or power outages. DO NOT use this number to report medical issues,
fires or law enforcement related needs. If you have an emergency, please
dial 911.

The top item in everybody’s news feed is Hurricane Florence. Mother Nature doesn’t like to be predictable, so be prepared. Forecasts are calling for heavy rain this weekend, so in addition to shopping for bread, milk, and toilet paper, check your surroundings-know where the streams and floodplains are.

The Town of Weddington is happy to welcome Shawn Dodd.  Deputy Dodd has been employed with the Sheriff's Office here in Union County for 5 years.  He moved to the Weddington area in 2002, where he attended Weddington Middle and High Schools.  Deputy Dodd graduated from Weddington High School in 2008 and continued his eduation at Methodist University where he obtained a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice.  He is currently a basketball coach at Weddington High School and has been there for about 3 years.  Deputy Dodd is very approachable.  If you see him, don't
