The Town Council has received the resignation of District 3 Council Member Clayton Jones. Councilmembers extend their appreciation to Clayton for his time, dedication, and service to the community. His contributions are sincerely valued, and he will be missed.
The Town will be accepting applications to fill the District 3 vacancy. Please contact Karen Dewey for an application: kdewey@townofweddington.com.
District 3 is indicated in pink in the map below.
The Weddington Town Council is considering support of proposed state legislation in North Carolina and South Carolina to prohibit the addition of fluoride to public water systems, and they want to hear from all residents who are on the county water system. No vote by the Council has been taken in favor of or opposed to the addition of fluoride to public water systems.
