Union County State of Emergency
The Union County Board of County Commissioners has declared a State of Emergency for Winter Storm Fern Effective on 1/24/2026 beginning at 07:00am. This measure is intended to keep the community safe and to allow Emergency Management and Emergency Response Agencies to be able to respond to the community’s needs. The State of Emergency also allows the Union County Sheriff’s Office to be able to close state-maintained roads for safety reasons. At the same time, the Union County Emergency Operations Center will be activated and will operate on a 24hr basis through Monday at 7pm. This is subject to change and to be extended based on conditions with the weather.
