The Town of Weddington continues to accept applications for the Planning Board.

The Planning Board of the Town of Weddington is an advisory board that reviews development applications and proposed changes to the Town’s ordinances, and discusses matters related to land use and development. The Board serves in a recommending capacity to the Town Council.

The Planning Board is appointed by the Town Council to serve four-year terms. The Board is comprised of seven volunteer members, all of whom must be residents of Weddington.

The Planning Board meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall and board members can expect spending 4-6 hours a month on advisory board duties. Residents interested in serving are encouraged to submit an application and return to Karen Dewey kdewey@townofweddington.com by Thursday, January 22, 2026.

Planning Board Members also serve as the Board of Adjustment and as the Historic Preservation Commission.
