Through the end of this month, the Town Hall is hosting a display of historical items from the the Revolutionary War era. The featured items on display are framed copies of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution in lithograph prints by Theodore Ohman. There are some Revolutionary War Flags and some other items on display as well. Please feel free to visit town hall during our office hours (MWF 9-1) and check out the exhibit.
The FY 2018-2019 Town of Weddington budget was approved on June 11, 2018. A copy of the final budget can be found here.
The total budget is $2,067,250.00 which is a 2% increase over the prior year.
The tax rate is unchanged at 5.2 cents for the 6th straight year.
51% of our expenditures are for public safety and at least 10% of budgeted expenditures are for road improvements.
Mayor Elizabeth Callis has called for a special meeting to be held at Weddington Town Hall at 1924 Weddington Road on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to move into closed session pursuant to North Carolina General Statutes 143-318.11 (A)(3) to consult with attorney on matters protected by the attorney-client privilege relating to Providence Volunteer Fire Department versus Town of Weddington.
